CZ 85 COMBAT

Product Description

The CZ 85 Combat adds a fully adjustable rear sight, extended magazine release, drop-free magazine and overtravel adjustment on the trigger. The Combat designation comes from the lack of a firing pin block safety, allowing the replacement of the firing pin without tools.

Ambidextrous features include safety levers, slide stop levers and a reversible magazine release. The lack of a firing pin safety gives the 85 Combat a slight advantage in the trigger pull department, making it a long-time favorite of competition shooters.

I own two polymer 9mm pistols from rival companies. About 2 months ago, I rented a CZ-75B, and it was love at first grip. After going through 50 rounds, I knew I would own a CZ pistol someday. That day came this past weekend when I picked up a CZ 85 Combat. After running 150 rounds, this pistol is the most accurate 9mm pistol I've shot. The balance and weight is perfect. I run a Rainer Ballistics/Hodgdon recipe - and I have the tightest grouping with my CZ. If you're reading this and contemplating picking up a CZ - just do yourself a favor and get one! If you can find one!

I picked up my first CZ75 about two years ago and since than I have picked up 7 more including the 85 combat that my wife got me for Xmas that she liked so much it is now hers, but I will get my own. The one I want the most is a 75B Champion, but from what I have seen out there this has to be one of the most sought after pistols out there. Who ever owns them they are hanging on to them and not letting them go. If anybody has one for sale please email me. CZ-USA keep up the good work looks like you have some cool new pistols out for 2012.

i have had the privilege of owning a few CZ firearms. However my favorite will always be the CZ-85 Combat Pistol. The first one i had was stolen and after a few years i was able to track another one down, and i took it to the range and it felt like it had never gone lost it

Having owned and shot my 85 combat for the past 3 months I am still very happy with my purchase. It's like the well known Col. Cooper said that a pistol for combat must have good sights, a good trigger, and total reliability. My 85 has all these with the trigger improving more so over time. Charlie at CR Sales in Independence, MO said I'd be happy with it. He's been more than right on this pistol.
    • My new 85 B Combat - Added 1 year, 9 months ago.

I recently picked up another CZ pistol. this time it's an 85 B Combat in satin nickel. It's plastic grips went to my older 75 B and my new 85 got new CZ black rubber grips. Great grips. the only issue I have with my 85 combat is that it's even worse than my older 75 in that no matter how many 9mm rounds I put through it or what weight the bullets it generally leaves one big ragged hole. It's hard to tell where the bullets are landing when they keep going through the same hole. Oh well, it's a problem I'm happy to live with. Smiles.

My CZ 85 Combat is about the finest weapon I have ever used. I never worry about the weapon failing when it is needed. It never has. It is smooth with no sharp edges or anything to catch on my cloths when being drawn. I've put thousands of rounds through my sweetheart and not one single malfunction, ever. I have a few other weapons that cost much more than my CZ, yet when it comes time to stay alive, I want the CZ with me. The entire design, from the slide riding inside the rails, rather than outside, is clean, pretty and works like a slave when put in severe duty mode. I'm here tonight looking for another CZ. I want a bit more capacity this time, however, the job has never failed to be done with the ten my CZ-85 holds. Did I mention that she is accurate, very accurate.

I picked up my 85 Combat last week and took it to the range and I love it. I own several CZ pistols, but I think this will be my CCW piece.
